“ I absolutely love the food, but the service on the particular Saturday night was extremely slow. Not sure what was going on, but several tables were filled long after we arrived and got their food before us, even though ours was fairly simple barbecue dishes. The waitress apologized several times for the slow service, but it didn't really make me feel any better. I love this place, but on this night, the service was extremely slow. ”
“ Great vibes as soon as you walk in. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Cooks did an amazing job. Food and service were quick and amazing! Great food. I got 1lb of brisket, which had an amazing hint of mild smoky flavor. I tried every bbq sauce, and my favorite was the jacka**. ”
“ Amazing food! So much flavor. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Reasonable prices, lots of food and friendly staff. Definitely worth it! ”
“ Small town restaurant, big city flavor. The staff is amazing, the place is spotless!. Cool stuff for sale and amazing food. The prices are perfect. You leave hungry, that was your own fault. Very large portions of food. ”
“ Very nice food, generous portions, and a reasonable price for what you're getting! Quick and kind service is also an unexpected bonus for this clean restaurant. ”
“ We love to visit crazy places around the US and the SPAM museum has been on our list of places to see for some time now. But one thing they don’t have there is lunch - unless you count getting some a can of SPAM from the gift shop and going to town on a bench outside. But they do have a recommendation and that was to Piggy Blues, right down the street. Piggy Blues is a barbecue place and I love barbecue but I was there for something much different - SPAM. Because unlike the people in the Monty Python skit, I like SPAM, SPAM, SPAM and SPAM. So there. We went in and sat down and grabbed a menu and...what the French, toast...there was no SPAM. When our server came over to start our drink orders I told her we were there for SPAM but didn’t see any but she quickly hustled-up a menu of only SPAM-centered items. SPAM fries, SPAM burger, 3 piggies and a SPAM Po’Boy. Oh yeah. My poor wifey is one one of those low-carb Diest so she got a SPAM burger without a bun. It was a piece of fried SPAM with cheese on top. But I went whole hog (hehe) and got the SPAM Po’Boy and it was really, really good. If you like SPAM, of course. Thick cuts of fried SPAM and all the other things you’d expect on a Po’Boy sandwich. This was also served on a pretty delightful French too with that great crust that has a crunch but a soft, wonderful interior. Yum-o! There was also a surprise in the package, fries. But not on the side, these were in the sandwich. That just added fuel to the fire, folks. Goooood stuff. I can’t speak to the barbecue at this barbecue restaurant but the fact that they had home-made sauces is a good sign. But if you’re in town for SPAM and you want a mouthful to go with your eyeful, you could definitely enjoy yourself here. Oh, and I loved all the silly decorations all over including all the Kellogg’s cereal memorabilia. ”
“ Food was excellent in taste and beer was generous! First time here, ordered the Combination Platter of ribs and pulled pork. The coleslaw was very tasty and creamy (and I'm a hard judge on coleslaw). Had to order a 2nd helping! Cornbread was also delicious, served with a side of maple flavored butter. Background music was enjoyable, a mix of R&B blues and south delta blues. Just an enjoyable dining experience!! I will certainly be back in the future! ”
“ For my taste, this is the best BBQ joint I’ve been throughout the US! (And I lived in Texas for a year!) Meat was super moist yet not too fatty (pulled pork and brisket). Subtle (if even any) smoke flavour which for me that was truly a preference. Had the beans and cornbread for side and both fabulous. Great service and cool relaxed atmosphere. 10/10! ”
